To become a member you will need to have completed three walks with the club as a visitor. For each of these walks you will need to complete and return a walk sheet. The best way find out which walks will suit you, if you are not already an experienced bush-walker, is to attend a monthly club meeting and make yourself known to the members and the Walks Secretary. Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 7.30 pm at the Buderim Craft Cottage, behind the Buderim Memorial Hall, Main Street, Buderim. During the meeting you will hear about the up-coming walks and you can talk to the individual walk leaders to see how easy (or hard) their walks will be. There will be a walk sheet to list your name and contact phone number as well as the name of the leader and their phone number. Remember, we want you to enjoy your walks with us and not to put yourself or others at risk. There is a charge of $5.00 per walk for visitors to cover insurance. Once you have registered for a walk it is important to let the walk leader know if you can’t make it so that the group is not kept waiting at the start. When you have completed three walks you can apply for membership by completing a membership application form and paying the annual fee of $35.00 ($60.00 for couples) plus a one-off insurance charge of $20.00. After this, all walks are free. You can contact the new members officer, Chris at: enquiries@sunshinecoastbushwalkingclub.comSunshine Coast Bushwalking ClubFor feedback and problems with this website please email the webmaster.
